Ellington Park receives funding

Following planning consent from Thanet District Council, it is great news that the Ellington Park development, Ramsgate, consisting of a £1.8m cafe building, events hub and toilet facility has successfully received funding! The project additionally involves the renovation of the Victorian bandstand already present on site and extensive regeneration of the park including improvements to existing pathways, stonework, installation of heritage fencing, creation of a new play area, planting and general landscaping improvements. The development primarily hopes to enhance community engagement, attract new visitors to the area and extend the time they spend at the park facilitated by the new amenities.

Woodley Coles are working alongside Thanet District Council, the design team (inclusive of architect and landscape architect) and the local community group, Friends of Ellington Park, in support of the Heritage Lottery Round 2 submission. Having secured round 2 funds, the project will be phased and delivered during 2019 where Woodley Coles are providing Quantity Surveying and Project Management services.
